My Imaginary Interview with Tom Hiddleston

...or, shall I say, My Imaginary Rambling At Tom Hiddleston.

written by Ava Emasova aka faerielover

Me: First of all, hi! I'm a huge fan of your persona. Not sure if I am allowed to declare myself a fan of your work, since I haven't had a chance to see most of it, unfortunately. I love your Loki, of course, and I have watched you in Miss Austen Regrets, Midnight In Paris, The Deep Blue Sea, War Horse and Only Lovers Left Alive, listened to The Red Necklace audiobook,  and many poems you've read so delicately and passionately. And I watched you as Steve in the crazy sketches with Josh Horowitz, that mad genius. I will forever suffer because I couldn't have seen you perform Coriolanus live in London.
Anyway, what I have seen of your acting amazes me. The layers! The emotions! The subtlety! The passion! I cannot describe accurately enough how it makes me feel. Just... bliss.

Tom:

Me: No, bless you, Tom, for giving us that. And so much more. I've seen a lot of your interviews as well. You radiate positive energy, you are always so well mannered and kind. How do you manage to smile all the time?

Tom: I am an optimist... I choose to be. There is a lot of darkness in our world, there is a lot of pain and you can choose to see that or you can choose to see the joy. If you try to respond positively to the world, you will spend your time better.

Me: Couldn't agree more. I cannot imagine someone watching an interview of yours, thinking: "Not him again!" or "I can't stand him!" Because you are incredibly smart, funny, endearing. And inspiring! I remember watching that Elle video where you run around the city, casually jump over a tall brick wall, then run some more. It made me want to get up and run and casually jump over brick walls myself. Not sure I could ever do that, but you made me want to try.

Tom: Never, ever, let anyone tell you what you can and can't do. Prove the cynics wrong. Pity them for they have no imagination. The sky's the limit. Your sky. Your limit. Now. Let's dance.

Me: There's nothing in the world I would like to do more right now than dance with you. Happy birthday, you wonderful human being, Tom Hiddleston.

A Time for Everything

written by Ava Emasova aka faerielover

Here is another optimism boost post. Here I am again, after many months, to say to myself and to you who read this (if anyone actually does) -- that we are, once again, at the precipice. A new year is a new beginning. Happy New year! And happy new resolutions! This time, let's make them count. This time let's stick to the plan. This is our last chance. This is the moment. This is our time. It's now or never. Take it seriously. Work for it. If we don't work for it, we will never achieve greatness. And that is the great truth.

Happiness. This is the main prize, to be collected at the end. I cannot be happy if I fail all the time. I cannot be happy if I don't fail, but only owed to the fact that I didn't even try to do something in the first place. This can go on no longer. No. I say no to laziness, no to insecurity, no to lack of will, no to backing out, no to indifference, no to procrastinating, from now on. NO. Go away. I don't want to see you ever again. This is the only life I have. I need to start living it. Goodbye sadness, goodbye shyness, goodbye doubts, goodbye fear. This is where we part. I will not miss you.

If only it were so easy! If only I hadn't said these things to myself so many times before. And discarded them somewhere along the way, like a paper torn in pieces from my hand. And so it lies, scattered, everywhere and nowhere.

But, since I still haven't received a visit from the lovely Doctor, and since, sadly, I do not own my own TARDIS (I don't count the cardboard one), there's nothing else left to do, but hope. Hope that I can find the strength within myself and be better. Find motivation. Keep my word. Stick to my plans. Work hard. Organize well. Travel. Live.

It's already very late, and I should have been in bed hours ago, so I'm going to wrap this up quickly. I want to share a picture with the Interwebs, a picture that I captured one morning in October, while waiting for the bus, admiring the skies and mesmerized by sun rays caressing the earth. Here, have some hope.

Good night.
xoxo

List of Loveliest Gentlemen

written by Ava Emasova aka faerielover

Ever since I can remember, I've been falling in love with actors and musicians. That's my woe. All my life I've loved lovely British boys and talented boys who live far away and whom, consequently, I can't have. So this is basically list of my crushes. Current ones. I'm not including the ones who have tortured me for ages and whom I am now over (e.g. Robbie Williams and the like). Of course, as with Ladies' list, this is not solely based on looks; these boys are all awesome.

This is bound to be mostly British-Boys list {because I like my men the way I like my tea: hot and British}, but let me start with this wonderful non-Brit:

10. Chord Overstreet

9. Luka Šulić {1 of the boys from 2cellos}

8. Jamie Campbell Bower

7. James McAvoy

6.  Darren Criss

5. Matt Smith

4. Matthew Macfadyen

3. Tom Sturridge

2. Aaron Johnson -- my God. This boy. This man. Deserves at least two pics.

And, the best of all:::
1. Max Irons -- I just don't know how he is even real. Amazing.

I am done.
